Timer Settings

hello,

Could anybody tell me how the timer works in LPC2103,I am not able to understand by reading the mannual& how to start the coding for the timer . Please dont think its a stupid question ,i am new bie in this .somebody direct me to the right path

This example should help you to understand the timer:
C:\Keil\ARM\Boards\Keil\MCB2130\Blinky
