New project based on existing (working) project doesn't build.

I'm new to all this malarky so please be easy on me!! I'm working on a Luminary LM3S811 Evaluation Board, and am trying to take my first tentative steps. I'm planning on using one of the example projects and modifying it slightly to start with. First of all I've created a new project with a new name, new directory etc, and copied the .c file from the example I'm trying to modify into this new directory and renamed it. I've also copied the startup.s file. I've set the project workspace up exactly the same as the original project with the exception of the readme.txt file. When I build it, the error message appears as follows . . .

Error: L6204E: Entry point (0x00000000) does not point to an instruction.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Tim
