I'm just about to start an ARM project (LPC2214) and need to kick start code development whilst our own PCB is being designed & built. Has anyone got any cautionary tales, advice, experience etc on the various evaluation boards available. I just need something that interfaces well with the PK-ARM package, so that I can make a start on some processing functions. Cheers
I have not had the need for eval boards for the ARM, but the eval boards with other processors I have bought from Phytec have all been excellent. Erik
"so that I can make a start on some processing functions." Can you do that in the simulator?
Can you do that in the simulator? Yes most of it - but I've some external bit-bashing I need to sort out the timing with too (to an existing fpga circuit) - hence thinking somee real world might be useful... Thanks for the vote for Phytec - they're my favourite from olden days too - any other thoughts?
nothing about favorites, but a list and shortform description of (some of) what's out there http://www.semiconductors.philips.com/products/microcontrollers/support/development_tools/lpc2100/
Just US$ 24.99 !! http://www.futurlec.com/ET-ARM_Stamp.shtml Haven't tried one myself, though.
Yep - been there thanks Erik! That's what started me asking!
