I am using the keil uV2.32 for 8051,when debugging, there is a "virtual screen" tool in peripherals menu, and i want to use it,but can't find any infomation in help files.what can i do? Any help would be greatly appreciated Regards Silence
Which 8051 variant are you simulating for? What is the actual name of that "virtual screen" you're talking about (the names of the menu entries you choose to select it)? I guess you're referring to the serial interface window, but can't be sure. The documentation for simulated peripherals is in the uV2 user manual.
Mr. Broeker, thanks for your reply,I'm simulating for DS80C320 manufactured by Dallas Semiconductor. when use "virtual screen" tool,it will pop-out a dos window named "display screen",and my project is want to write something to display on this screen, but when it running, there is nothing on screen. So I want to know how this "virtual screen" work. And I had read the UV2 user manual, but can't find anything about "virtual screen". THANK YOU!
This is not part of the standard uVision menu: Sounds like you have installed some extra, add-on, 3rd party simulation for an LCD or somesuch. You will need to contact the supplier for details. Did you buy uVision from Keil, or bundled with a dev kit or something? Doesn't the window give you any clues; eg, copyright notice?
