Hi all, i have some problems with debugging a XC164CS device. I used v2.33 for programming the internal flash memory with the ULINK. That never acted. But using the Periperal- windows, i was able to toggle pins manually in debug mode. Now i use v2.38. I'm now able to program and verify the flash but i am not able to switch pins manually or to change configuration in debug mode, using the Peripherals Dialog- Windows. When i activate "Reset and Run" in the Flashdownload dialog, i get the message "On-chip Flash ROM execution diabled. Set /EA pin to 1." - But my Pin /EA is pulled high externally!? Reinstalling the ULINK drivers has no effect in both used versions. Thanks for any answer, Daniel.
Thanks for your hint. I thought i already have checked all notes in the mentioned application note, but i did it again. I found the problem: my external reset circuit generates a too short reset phase on power up. Therefore false levels on pins /EA, ... are captured. Thanks a lot for your answer. Daniel
