Hi everyone,
I would like to know which development boards are compatible with 10-pin Cortex ARM ulink plus debugger. I plan to use MDK lite version from Keil and also would be good to have some sample code to go with it.
Cheers Sns
What do you mean, "support for" ?
Old boards won't have the new, small 10-pin connector - because, as the name suggests, it is new!
infocenter.arm.com/.../cortex_debug_connectors.pdf
I'm sure you could find a 3rd-party adaptor if you put your mind to it ...
(although, as you're paying $600 for the thing, you would have thought that Keil could manage to include an adaptor - as, for instance, Atmel do in their $99 unit!)
Although you have pre-assumed that I have bought the ulink debugger but I haven't. I have it on loan for trial period then we will decide in the project to buy it or not.
The aim simply is to use ulink pro debugger with Keil Lite and do some power measurements using the small current probes. But many new boards from ST and other suppliers support their own ST debuggers or the segger ones and not the ARM ulink plus (or at least thats what I read in the tutorials).
By support means there is no option to connect the 10 pin debugger from ulink plus.
Yes I know that the 10 pin connector is pretty recent. And I have scanned the ARM website for all options.
If you see this link www2.keil.com/.../ulink
The processors XC800, µPSD, XC166/XE166/XC2000 ; LPC950 (8051) ; Arm7, Arm9 are not supported by ulink pro debugger.
So the evaluation kits are pretty limited with this debugger it seems.
Also,
The issue is not with investing money as you have said above.
But that it should be clearly mentioned else one spends more time to look for a solution which one can afford.
