Hi
I am running a CAN Application on Keil MDK 5.22 using simulator.I wan to view Peripheral Dialogue for CAN in this IDE but I am unable to view it. Please help me to find out this dialogue so that I could be able to analyze CAN Communication and CAN Controller windows.
Thanks
Hammad
Are you using CAN of 16F505? What exactly is your problem?
I have 16f505 and i cant get keil to talk to it. I use CAN but i cant get keil to talk to it.
I try for long time now. keil does not work. I have same question.
can you help.
Not PIC micros, for sure, try something using an ARM or 8051 based micro. Read the label on the box, ffs.
Try Atmel Studio instead of keil. Good thing is its free now.
If you want to use CAN, it would be sensible to choose a chip that supports it, no?
Still doesn't support PIC.
Not sure what support it has for CAN peripherals - certainly none for non-Atmel chips!
"its free now"
It has always been free
Thanks Andrew for correcting me. I din't know that it has always been free. Please tell me how does CAN:Communication be viewed in keil MDK 5 or later? I know that keil MDK 5 is slightly different from Keil MDK 4.
Never needed it - so don't know.
Please read the manual.
Do Keil even claim to support it for the particular chip that you're using?
What, exactly, do you mean by, "view CAN:Communication"? Keil is not a protocol analyser/tester!

Hi Andy Neil.
Can you tell me the pinout of the 74HCT04.
Hi Andy
I am looking something like this in Keil MDK 5. http://www.keil.com/support/man/docs/uv4/uv4_sm_can_commdialog.htm
But I can not find out this window. I now believe may be it was only in MDK 4 versions. MDK 5 version has changed a little bit.
Hello Andrew.
Can you send me the recipe for chilli con carne.
Again, does the documentation say that this should be supported for the particular chip you are using?
step number 8 at page 15 of this pdf document says something like this
http://www.keil.com/appnotes/files/apnt_236.pdf
So it's also in documentation.
