want to change ref voltage of adc lpc1769

hi i want to change the reference voltage of adc in lpc1769 from 3.3V to 2.5V. But when i give the 2.5V externally board is not receiving that voltage, i wanna know why its happening like that and any other suggestion to change that voltage.

    Seems to me that you should provide a schematic. I took a look at a MCB1700 schematic and
    saw that for a LPC1768 filtered 3.3 V was provided to VREF+ and GND to VREF-.

    I looked at a User Manual it did not say that you could not put 2.5 V.
