gratitude to responder... i am using 89c5131 and want to use timer 2 in 16-bit auto reload mode. i found problem in timing calculations. i have crystral of 24MHz, so timer fre. would be 12MHz, and expected delay for 100 timer clock would be 50us. bit it comes 5us. ???
let's try this withou math (that usually works when match does not come out right).
at 12MHz it will take 12 clocks to get 1us, thus for 5 us the count should be 60, 100 will give ~8.6 us
