Keil MicroVison 4.(Cx51) How to change the memory map, so that the xxxx.hex file work on other softwares like TopView Simulator.
What, exactly, do you want to change?
Have you studied the Linker manual ?
Have you looked at the uVision configuration options?
http://www.keil.com/support/man/docs/uv4/uv4_dg_adstarg.htm
Have you contacted support for your "other softwares" to see if they have recommended settings for use with their products?
Of course I have studied the linker manual. I say you are the most rude person to ask it. If you can't give a DIRECT answer to a straightforward question don't bother answering. I think you probably don't know the answer to this and 100 other questions anyway and you just want to talk like you are a big professional or something. Why don't you stick to your day job instead of ANSWERING LIke a fool. I normally write IOT apps on ARM and C51 is new TO ME. WHAT'S YOUR EXCUSE.

Perhaps if you can define the actual requirements and constraints this other software needs, it would be easier to determine what setting you need in Keil to achieve them?
Perhaps you can discuss these requirements with Frontline's support, and then with Keil's.
Pier and Westermark.
I have now got it working.
I want to thank you because you guided me when I was feeling frustrated with the tool and myself.
The other one must go play with himself in a corner. I learned the Please read the manual answer is always done by people who just want to appear superior and normally can't do real good work.
Nice to hear.
What differences did the simulator require compared to the actual hardware platform the C51 project was originally configured to target?
None. I typed a bad value.
Ah - that explains it, since a simulator really should use the same memory map as the real target :)
