I have uninstalled uVision5, but I still get the link error for using an evaluation copy.
How can I completely remove uVision5 and return to my previous working copy.
Did you install the evaluation version in the same directory tree as you had a licensed version installed in?
If installing multiple copies in different directory trees, then all you need to do is decide which directory to use when starting uV. So I have v3, v4 and v5 on the machine, without interference between the installations.
What do you mean, "still" ?
If you don't have a valid licence, then installing uVision-5 won't change that: the tools will still work only in "evaluation" mode - with the "evaluation" limits.
If you do have a valid licence, and it's not working, then contact Keil support direct - that is, after all, one of the things you're paying for in the licence fee!
I do have a licensed copy. That's what I'm trying to get back to. Uninstalling the evaluation copy does not remove the "evaluation" setting.
I've deleted all the directories and reinstalled my full version.
Still get the link error saying I'm using an evaluation copy.
But when you reinstall your "full version", you don't automatically get a new license file. So do you have a backup of the original license file? Or how have you tried to enable the license again?
Remember that a valid license can give you perpetual rights up to a specific program version. If you try to install a copies with a newer release date than what your license allows, then the license will not work.
Note also that Keil support is the best route if you need help with licensing issues.
