Your teacher can help, by possibly suggesting that you switch to some other course where you are better able to manage your assignments.
In this case, you seem to having even realized that there are more than one type of LCD in existence, and that even the same LCD may be interfaced in more than one way using 4-bit or 8-bit data lines or maybe SPI, I2C etc.
