I downloaded the program FET89c5 on my laptop ,for making a codes in hex file so i can burn it in 8051 , when i want to compile a file it doesn't work , the blue line keep moving with out getting any results any suggestion to these problem ?
.
Since you for some reason considered your question to be source code and tagged it as such, it's likely that you have done more mixups of source code and other information. Maybe you should stop the blue line, and ask it why it keeps moving. Another alternative is to try to build the code and read the messages you get from the compiler/linker and ponder if these messages gives any hint what might have gone wrong. Right now, you haven't even told anyone where you found that FET89c5 program - it seems like a quite strange program name. By the way - it seems like you forgot the tags for bold - you only managed italic code, unless this forum doesn't honor the combined formatting of "pre" + "i" + "b" (does it?) Another thing: If you want help with using the tools to build 8051 programs - why did you specific "Generic" for the architecture? The editor may be "generic", but the compiler/linker most specifically is not.
First of all when people ask a question and hey made a mistake don't make fun and be a man and give some respect ! because this is the first time i post a message her !. second dear brother the compiler doesn't compile due to some errors ! last thing the blue line keep moving that's mean there is an error and im pretty sure that the code is working well because i tried it in other computers so i cant ask the blue line ? beside there is no error message appeared , for that im asking is the problem came because of im using windows 8 ? last respect ! best regards !
If the compiler gives an error, wouldn't it then be an idea to post the error message? It is most likely more informative than the existence of a moving blue line.
People all over the world who happens to read this thread can't guess what message the compiler might print, but there is a good chance we understand the error message.
A good question has a much better chance of getting a good answer. So it's meaningful to invest some time in the question.
And the pre tags are intended for code - as clearly explained directly above the text input box.
