Microcontroller Choose

Hi All
I want to make a Smart home system with ARM7.But i don't know wich microcontrollers to use.
To be specific i need
(i): Microcontroller should communicate with wifi because i want to control the entire system via my pc
(ii): Multiple number of microcontrollers which they were connect with the wifi Module and these microcontrollers are connected to the d/a and a/d converters for the sensors.

for this project wifi module is must it should control by my pc, which contoller is preferable to choose,

    I understand the wifi module interfacing with microcontroller via rs232. for my project i want to choose a controller to work on and communicate throw wifi module which needs to send some sensor data, to my pc which is always monitoring and logging the data.
    so tell me which controller is better for these application, i had searched stm32 and ARM cortex-Mx, in that which part number will be suits for my appltcation..
