Speaking for myself I really would appreciate if we could add pdfs manually to our Keil projects. I don't find the books tab very handy, the default datasheet and summary have to be downloaded from online and as these uC manuals are >1000 pages it is rather annoying to wait for it to download each time.
...If we could do away with the books tab and just allow for a folder to be added to the Project tab and let all PDFs added to a "PDFs" folder be ignored by compiler that would be best in my opinion.
>>You can also add to the 'Books' tab by editing Tools.ini
How does this work?
... Generally this is a very nice idea - seen from my side it also would be great, if it would be possible to add PDF files to the Project tab directly (as the definition of the books also is a bit cumbersome - only one by one and always a new name necessary).
It would be great, if to add some file to the project tab, additionally to the selection "C source file", "C++ source file", "Text file", ..., there would also be a possibility to select "External path" (to invoke the standard "Open" functionality of Windows).
PS: I only now recognized this files TOOLS.INI - I assume this file also is kept by the installation handling, if I select "Keep old configuration"? It would be great, if this file would also contain the shortcut settings and the tab settings (currently, after each installation I have to re-specify my shortcuts and tabs).
