Cable RS232

Hi,
I want to connect a "LPC1788 Developer’s Kit" board to my PC. I have RS232 port in both sides. Should i use straight and crossed RS232 cable ? thank you in advance.

  • I don't think that Keil will violate that standard on purpose. We also have Keil LPC evaluation boards and connecting the UART to the PC is one of the simplest things to do.
I have seen VERY reputable companies violate the standard. Also, I do not think Keil makes (and designs?) their boards, Keil is a software company first and foremost.

anyhow using "I don't think that ,,,," as a design practice can not be recommended.
