You've posted this as "ARM" - but 89LPC901 is not an ARM!
Does that mean your looking for ARM-based substitutes?
How did you select the 89LPC901fd in the first place? Can you not apply the same process to find a replacement?

Would a manufacturer sell many different chips, if there was one "best"? Why would anyone buy the other models?

But then you either needs an identical controller - someone who basically manufactures the same silicon but sold under different brand or model.
The same second you can't get an identical controller, you must set up a list of what is critical to match and what differences that doesn't matter.
Beside pinout, form factor, supply voltage, you have interesting things like: - current consumption - burden capacitors for crystal - number of clock cycles for the different instructions - time to spin up the crystal - max load on a pin, a port or full chip. - additional features of peripherials, possibly using configuration bits that was unused in your chip. - ...
There can be an almost infinite number of differences between two _almost_ identical processors.
Only you may know what is relevant. Or may realize what is relevant when you spend time reading the datasheets for your old processor and your intended new processor.
We don't know what will happen if a specific instruction takes one clock cycle less. We don't know how fast your system must be active after power up. We don't know...
