syntax Error10 in debug file

I am getting syntax error #10 in my debug.ini.

// Set up Serial port
MODE COM1 9600, 0, 8, 1
ASSIGN COM1 <S0IN >S0OUT
                     e

*** error 10: Syntax error

Is there any syntax error?
