While simulating a project on an ARM7 processor, it normally runs code at about 50% of real time speed.
Opening the Logic Analyzer and plotting a signal or two reduces this to about 1%.
Turning the Logic Analyzer Update Screen button to STOP restores it to about 50%.
It seems the analyzer is updating the window very quickly, perhaps every time one of the variables is updated. I can see it incrementing the millisecond digit and the 0.1mS digit is flying by.
Is anyone aware of a way to either reduce the update rate or start / stop it with a command that could be put in a signal? I don't find any of these in the documentation.
This is using MDK 4.14, 4.20, and 4.23. I do not remember the logic analyzer slowing down the older (v4) MDK's this much though I have not recently loaded the project into them.
Thanks, Chad
