Hi all
Is the 8051 family of micros used in real industrial world or is it used for students of embedded systems ?
I am asking this because I just finished a embedded sytems programming course and I try to find my way in the field.
I like very much this micro with it's msny variants, but I want to be in the real industrial field so i ask to be sure .
Thanks in advance
Eliahu
first I agree with Al's post above, do not limit yourself. second Is the 8051 family of micros used in real industrial world or is it used for students of embedded systems ? One example of real world 8051 is the IR washing machine etc. controllers that contain a '51 core and a lot of ancilliary stuff. I know, but can't think of which, that there are more application specific chips with a '51 core. If you need some advanced analog see if the '51 has enough digital power and, if so, the SILabs offerings can't be beat.
