I asked for prices from keil for arm developement tool, and i got different licenses, so i want to ask about the difference between:
> MDK-ARM-B MDK Basic Edition (256KB)
> MDK-ARM-T MDK Standard 1 year term
> MDK-ARM MDK Standard Edition
> MDK-ARM-FL MDK Standard Edition Floating
> MDK-PRO MDK Professional Edition
> MDK-PRO-T MDK Professional 1 year term
> MDK-PRO-FL MDK Professional Edition Floating
I asked them and this is the answer:
MDK-ARM-T – This license is a MDK-Standard Edition, this is a 1-year term license only, valid for 1 year which gives the right to use the tools during this term, includes support for 1 year.
MDK-ARM-FL – This license is a MDK-Standard Edition, it is a perpetual license, right to use the tools perpetually, includes 1 year support with optional renewal for subsequent years, can upgrade to the next version of the tools at a reduced rate. There is a minimum purchase of 3 seats for the floating licenses.
MDK-PRO-T - This license is a MDK-Professional Edition, this is a 1-year term license only, valid for 1 year which gives the right to use the tools during this term, includes support for 1 year.
MDK-PRO-FL – This license is a MDK-Professional Edition, it is a perpetual license, right to use the tools perpetually, includes 1 year support with optional renewal for subsequent years, can upgrade to the next version of the tools at a reduced rate. There is a minimum purchase of 3 seats for the floating licenses.
So if you combine the above information with the product selector that is very easy to locate on the Keil site - what information are you then missing? http://www.keil.com/arm/selector.asp
My last post is just to tell the group with the differences i got what i need from the email i sent to the company.:)
But it doesn't cover the difference between basic, standard and professional editions of the tools. So in the end, it's still needed to visit the Keil product selector page to see what is included.
