MDK420 installation problems

Is any one else have problems installing the latest update, when I run the exe, as myself or as admin I get the following error messages:

Cannot create the destination file.
'C:\DOCUME~1\ me \LOCALS~1\Temp\KST21D3.tmp'
System Error Code
"Invalid window handle."
retry?

click retry repeats the same message once then i get:
Cannot create the destination file.
'C:\DOCUME~1\ me \LOCALS~1\Temp\KST21D3.tmp'
System Error Code
"Access is denied."
retry?

If I click no I get the normal Welcome to Keil etc install box but with
"Unknown Title" in bold in the middle.

After that it installs normally before quitting with invalid check sum or similar.
There appears to be no way of downloading a second copy of the install file via the update link so I cant tell if its just a bad download..

anyone else?

XP pro, 2GB ram, 2 GHz Cpu, plenty of HDD space.

  • I just re-downloaded V4.20 from both the Keil Product Update site and from the ARM Evaluation Software site and the installation ran with out a hitch.

Check the file size of your MDK420.EXE download file. It should be 319,367K bytes. If not, re-download it.

Your browser should have an option to choose the folder when you save the installation file, and change the name of the installation file before it downloads. You may have that option turned off. In Firefox V3.6, this option is "Always ask me where to save files" in Tools, Options, General tab, Downloads section.
