We would like to purchase some Keil MCB1700 evaluation boards to test. We always had one license of the Realview toolchain, but we would like to evaluate other (cheaper) options. Is it possible to develop code for this platform using a Eclipse-based IDE and the GNU toolchain? If so, which IDE do you recommend? For example, has anyone tested Code Red - Red Suite 4?
And more important, is it possible to debug the code on-chip? Using which link?
Thank you.
Thanks, Andy for the replay
That's a bit of a cheeky question to ask on Keil's own forum - isn't it?!
As I said, I had always worked with Keil -IDE and toolchain- to develop projects on ARM (I use IAR products on 8051). So, when it came to find an alternative, I asked for suggestions. Maybe the Keil forum is not bet best place, but is the place I know better and I will use a Keil development board.
