After doing some very small evaluation testing on a miniature development board the next step will be buying a real evaluation board to start testing some real hardware functions and the Keil support for it. Looking at the MCB1700 schematics i can see the display is serial connected to the main board but the type is not mentioned. (The MCB1700 User's Guide (online) mentions no type but only connects using a 16-bit interface which is not true (all D0-D15 pins grounded) Can someone tell met the type so i can use it complete.
Next i have a little question about updating, i am still using the free downloaded version 4.0x can i re-download the latest version (or copy it from CD) and just install it. I can not find any instructions on the site about updating from a previous version.
Cant help you with the MCB1700.
As for updating, as far as I can remember, you can download the latest evaluation version from the website and do an update.
Just found the schematic on the web site. In the PDF (http://www.keil.com/mcb1700/mcb1700-schematics.pdf) the display board schematic is not available. In the user manual the schematics are also listed and at the bottem is the display board (http://www.keil.com/mcb1700/mcb1700-display-board-schematics.pdf) Display type is: AM240320L8TNQW
