Dear All,
Can you please let me know is USB Host source code available for AT91SAM9263 controller. Also I need to know whether USB host code of KEIL MDK-ARM can be integrated in IAR embedded workbench 6.0 for my development and it should run without any operating system.
So I request you to provide this detail.
Best Regards, Zuhair
First I am glad to be able to inform you that source code is available for USB Host functionality for the AT91SAM9263 controller and that same source code (the afforementioned USB host code) could be compiled by the KEIL MDK-ARM package but I have to add that I think it is unlikely that the same code can be integrated into the IAR embedded workbench because, unfortunately, I am not familiar with the IAR environment because, primarily I do all my ARM development with the Keil environment and I am far more familiar with that so I cannot, with any degree of certainty, tell you about the integration question, and it is fairly likely that the source code for an embedded controller can be integrated into an IDE unless that code is written with the intention of being compiled for use in both an embedded system and an IDE when the two said environments are, typically, fundamentally dirrerent where one (the IDE) is probably running with a full blown operating system (such as Windows) and the other (the embedded device) may be running something a lot smaller (such as an RTOS).
Hi Mackie,
Have you used the full source code of USB host for this controller. What is the cost of that?.Also I hope this can be used only with MDK-Professional Edition.
The answer to your question is negative primarily because I have not used the code so I feel compelled to answer you with the word no while realising that you will not like that answer and I appologise for that but for me to say otherwise would be a lie and I do not want to lie and I am sure you would not want a lie as a response so I choose say no so that I cannot be accused of being a liar though you might feel a little peeved with what I say and when I add that I do not know the cost you must realise that code for this part does exists and is available for you to find on any suitable search engine with relative ease but you must remember that when you do your search you must include the fact that you want the code to be usabe only for MDK-professional though, for the life of me, I do not understand why you want source code that can only be complied using one development environment and even what the authors might do to ensure it can only be compiled on a particular environment so I leave you with the ramblings of a bored fool and hope you use a bit more initiative and start using the tools available to you.
Hello, It's nice to hear that there is a driver for the AT91SAM9263 USH Host. How or where can I get this driver?
Greetings Nils
