insolated relat

Hi today.
I want to simulate using c on my str9 . for transformer i dont know differnces between saturated trans and simple trans . i use an square wave gen with 20Khz by 555 timer . can i use timer to make the square wave ? pwm ? or dac ? can i use usart ? can i use port ? what will be on the display ? push button ?
The only things i want is to isolate between input and output finaly i regulate the output with diff ( void ) . commerical is expensive .
thanks alot

  • That was a really short summary that didn't really tell what you want to do.

But it _seems_ like you want to create some form of power control device with optical (?) isolation between input and output. You talk about transformers, so my guess is that you wonder about transformers that have the magnetic field staturated or not.

You can create whatever stimuli you like using the programming language available in the debugger. But the fact that you don't seem to know much about electronics should be a clear indication that you shouldn't really work with real power control devices - be it light dimmers, motor control, switched voltage regulators or whatever. If high voltages are involved, you or someone else could be hurt. And even if high voltages are not involved, you are likely to produce a radio transmitter creating lots of interference on lots of frequencies because you don't know how to compute required component values or measure ringing etc on your signals.

Commercial solutions are normally cheaper than failed do-it-yourself solutions that ends up as garbabe in a drawer - and way cheaper than the costs after a fire or personal injury.
