why different mcu..?

why different micro controllers are used..?
if u could make out a best of one kind, where many i/p o/p's and large memory space is available..?
if u say that MCU's are chosen on its application basis, well order a MCU where the memory and i/p o/p's are configured by you..
so my outline of my question is that why we go for different micro controllers..? where it in-deed's the necessity to learn the programming languages individually for the micro controller we choose.!

  • When choosing an MCU, the following factors should be taken into account:
    1) Technical specs (memory, CPU speed, peripherals, package type, temperature range, etc.)
    2) Price, availability.
    3) Cost of development.
    4) Other factors I could be missing.
It's a balancing act. Many of these factors are conflicting. Some may not matter for a particular application.

  • Why does the world have many different cars?

Why do cars exist in different color?

How can a sports car transport 10 big bags?

How can a SUV transport 10 tons of gravel?

How can you drive extreme distances on electricity without spending time charging the batteries or replacing battery packs?

How can you get a gasoline car to have zero pollution?

Is a touring car or a lorry most comfortable if you need to transport yourself 1000 km? Which will give best mileage for consumed fuel?

Will you survive a collision with an elk in a tiny city car?

How do you service a premium car if living a long way from the nearest city in Africa?

Just as there are many different needs when selecting a car, there are also many very conflicting needs when selecting a processor.

  • thanks mike, now im clear with the point.

  • per, u spoon feeded me. thanks yar..
