How much flash can be added in LPC23xx using External flash

Hi,

I want to expand the flash of LPC23xx series micro controller in which External Memory Controller is present. I want to add 1MB of external flash is it possible? If no then which LPC series microcontroller I should opt?

Also, I found that in LPC23xx series only LPC2377/78 and LPC2388 supports External flash. Is it so? How flash I can add ?

Can I add external flash to LPC2387?

You have 2 64kB memory regions. So if you want to add 1MB of flash, then you must take GPIO pins to bank-switch the flash.

Is it for data, or do you need so much code space?

I need it for code space. I want to programming an appliction code in this External flash and Secondary Bootloader which is in Micro flash will boot this application code. The size of application code is near around 1MB.

In the user manual of LPC23xx I found that the address lines are A0-A15. Which supports flash of Upto 64KB. How I can add addition address lines i.e A16-A19 ?
