Hey, all!
As some of you may know, Dallas released a new version of the 8051 core a while ago, it can be described as the 8051 PLUS (description here). From what I can see, it looks somewhat different. And as far as new features are concerned, it can now do fractions to solves equations, it has a complete random integer generator, 2 more registers for memory calculations (so 8 in the old one to 12 in the new one), and a new display interface, which apparently makes the input go all the way down to the bottom.
Has anyone tried this? I saw it for sale on ebay and must know if it is it all that better to shell out the 30 or so euros it costs?
Thanks in advance.
Now it has gone.
It was on http://www.ebay.com but it has gone.
When i find it again I will write you the part number.
You said it was a Dallas (sic) product?
No. I said it was Dallas.
Yes, that's what I said - "Dallas".
So what did you mean by "Dallas"??
You do realise that Dallas Semiconductor no longer exists, don't you? They were taken over by Maxim many years ago, and Maxim stopped using the Dallas name some years later.
That's why I put "(sic)" - to indicate that "Dallas" seems incorrect.
dictionary.cambridge.org/.../sic
BLAH BLAH BLAH.
SHUT UP.
YOU NOW GIVE ME A HEAD ACHE.
FORGET I ASKED.
GOOD BYE.
Ho the morons, the morons...
Wait! Hold your breath Andy! It has gone all the way down to 7! Stunning! Amazing! Unheard of!
Oh well, so we shall never find out what this "new (sic?) version of the 8051 core" is.
Although, given the mention of "Dallas", I suspect it was not "new" at all.
