Hi I am currently using microvision 4 for programming my Arm9 controller. However I wish to move to linux based toolchain(microvision is windows based).
Any Suggestions
RVDS would offer the easiest, although pricey, transition. Both RVDS and MDK are based on the same compiler tools. RVDS adds application processor cores and Linux support.
The current DS5 supports Linux/Android targets only.

It's true that DS-5 was initially focused on Linux targets, but recent DS-5 releases have support some bare-metal targets via JTAG (DSTREAM/RVI). See the JTAG Debug column of <www.arm.com/.../supported-platforms.php>. (More platforms will be supported in future releases.)
Thanks Scott. I must have missed that release. Was there any announcement? The DS-5 main page is still advertising "The complete end-to-end software development tool suite for ARM-powered Linux and Android™ platforms."
Hi Thanks for the info. The discussion link is dead though. Is there nothing available in the open source market.
