Well, I think this may be an interesting challenge. I would like to collect data in a datalogger and genarate a pdf report in the datalogger micro itself. The otput would be a .pdf file stored in my SD-card. This is a task for a micro and the search is for some pdf generator library in " C ". I am an exelent coder and all of the other parts of the design I already know very well, including generating a file in my sd-card. Any code? In advance!
Or, since Adobe own the PDF format, that would seem like an obvious place to start...
Not at all, unless someone wants to buy ready-to-use programs that regularly breaks or adds stupidities that makes them work badly.
But there are a number of source-code solutions for generation of pdf files.
To my knowledge, not one of them intended for use with an 8051 or any other processor with so miniscule muscles. The processor doesn't even have a real stack.
It's like buying a LEGO kit and then look for a suitable gear box to let a tiny battery-operated motor drive a real car. Most things are possible, and the 8051 is turing-complete. But I don't think you would like the results. Emitting comma-separated data to the SD card and then use freely available php or C code to build the pdf on the PC would be way better.
