error message C249

when i build the target program i get the error message

error:C249 DATA SEGMENT TOO LARGE
i am using evaluation version of Keil.
how can i rectify the error.

i am using AT89S52 microcontroller.

    Makes me think about a guy who couldn't fit all gear in the trunk/boot. He kept repeating to try to close it until he had managed large enough dents in the metal to make the gear fit

    if you force more DATA into the chip than it is designed to hold you get an ugly bulge on the plastic case.
