hello, I am lookin for timer with is interval in minutes.. ,,, but timer 2 does not go long as minutes. can timer 1 or 3 do it,,, or do the other board do it???
You are mentioning numbered timers, but not what processor.
"My" ARM processors has 32-bit prescalers and 32-bit counter registers for all timers, so with 15MHz tick frequency they can tick up to 2^64/15e6 seconds on any timer - way more than one minute.
Obviously, used processor is critical when discussing peripherials.
And, as Andy notes, next thing is that it's possible to extend the timer range by having the software perform an action after n timer tick overruns.
