Old threads are supposed to "time-out" and become read-only.
There has been a bug with this for ages: the Read-Only status is not actually applied until after someone posts to the old thread!
Example today: http://www.keil.com/forum/18221/
Previously reported:

See this thread: http://www.keil.com/forum/18070/ - the last post was 20-Dec-2010, so it should have become Read-Only by now. But I was able to make a reply today - and then the thread immediately became Read-Only!

There had been no post since 7-Jan-2011 09:17 GMT - so it should, by now, have been read-only.
But the read-only didn't actually get applied til someone replied today.
So now nobody can comment on the new reply!

Will this thread now succumb...?
