RTSM connection from DS-5

Hello,
I'm trying to figure out how to connect Cortex-A8 RTSM target from DS-5 debugger. When I selected RTSM as the application platform in debug configuration panel and try run the debug session, an error message popped out says there is no running model found.

I have tried to use command line to start RTSM model and I can see it's running OK. But I still can not connect to the target from DS-5 debugger. Is there any other settings needed?

  • Can you check what build version of DS-5 trial you have? It's in Program Files > DS-5 > Release Notes

The latest trial is build 472 and using the RTSM works there for me. You should not have to start the RTSM "by hand" -- DS-5 should do it.

If you're still having problems can you describe your "Debug Configuration" some more:

Are you using the Virtual File System? If yes, what is the host mount point [check for typos]

What is the path you are using for Application on target? [check for typos]

Is the RTSM starting up (opening the LCD window and telnet to the console) when you launch the debug configuration?

When it fails, what messages, if any, do you see in the Console view?

And what is the text of the error dialog?

    Thanks.
