Speaking of the Predator: I read a while ago that its satellite video uploads were available (until recently) to commercial software packages (connected to the right antenna of course...) that were used by the insurgents in Afghanistan and Pakistan, because the video stream was not encoded. Hopefully that was not your stuff, Vince ;-)
