Yesterday, I get some problem with my devbaord, It was locked. Again.
I tried what Erik Malund said before and put the 1 MHz 4 pin crystal oscillator for this purpose, just connected pin 2 to gnd, pin 3 to oscin, pin 4 to vcc and pin 6 to oscout.
But I has finished my problem now..post it at.
I must have missed something. How do you connect pin 6 of a four pin device ;-) Bradford
Maybe one of those cases where the package is the size of a 6-pin device, only 4 pins are actually fitted - but numbered as if the other 2 were present...?
I really think he meant to type pin 1. I too suffer from dyslexia of the fingers. Bradford
But for such packages, it is very, very common to make use of pin 1.
Pin 1 of a 4 pin oscillator is often an enable pin. If left floating it usually means enabled. Is the device enabled?
Back to the original post. What was the original problem? Was the problem stated in a previous post?
