floating values via usart

hi, im using an At89c51 mcu and i want to send floating values to hyperterminal using serial usart. actually i hav to implement a precision temp monitor. Im using adc conversion and sending the value to computer for monitoring..
Plz help me out with this issue...

  • The OP doesn't tell what license he has - isn't floating point support only available in full releases?

    Anyway - most sensors don't need floating point support in the micocontroller. Most of the time, the problem is better solved with fixed point integer arithmetic and then the micrcontroller or the PC inserts a decimal point somewhere when presenting the result.
