    Remember that the SPI module of the at89s8252 neither knows nor cares what it is connected to; its operation is defined in the Datasheet and is entirely independent of the connected device(s) - so you just need to study the Datasheet to find out how to use this feature of this chip.

    No doubt the manufacturer also has examples on their website - have you checked?

    Similarly, an SD Card (or MMC card) neither knows nor cares what it is connected to; its operation is defined in the SD Card (or MMC card) Specification and is entirely independent of what particular host device is used.

    The SD Card Specifications are available from http://www.sdcard.org - the full specifications must be paid for, but a "simplified" version is available for free download:

    There are very many articles & projects on the web about using SD Cards with microcontrollers - get googling...!
