Interfacing MCS to PLC modem for clock generation

I am trying to interface TDA 5051 to C51 for clock generation as i want to use only one crystal.
TDA-7mhz
c51-12mhz

How can i proceed?

  • .. load to the clock pins.

Thus the best "one crystal solution" would be a crystal oscillator, I would recommend that solution.

Some have gotten by with a HC chip located right at CLK2 as a buffer and used the output to clock other items, I would NOT recommend that solution.

Using CLK2 directly should be avoided it may lead to instability at any time for any reason. I only mention this because somebody may post it as "it works" although that fact is luck, not design.
