how to interface GSM modem with 8051

i am making project to switch devices with GSM

can anyone give me detail hoe to interface 8051 and modem
i have kit easy8051 microelectronika with rs-232.

how the asm code to be written to intreface gsm modem with AT commands.

    i m new to these type of forums and dont know how to use it effectivly..so made mistake..
    and also i think i choose wrong forum..

    i serach for GSM on this forum..
    and all answered like me...!
    i dont want source code or schematic..just want to know basics..

    i think if one think that the question is repeated or wastage of time ..then just leave it unanswered..
