Hi,
I have been searching for UserManual of the TMS470 controller from Texas Instruments.
i went to their site and got the following relevant documents: 1. Datasheet 2. Peripherals Overview Reference Guide 3. couple of Application notes
however these documents do not give the registers description in detail and I am not able to locate the User manual kind of document that i have for a LPC2000 controller from NXP.
The TI site says the controller is not recommended for new designs.
can anyone please help me in finding the document.
Thanks kannan.k
BTW.. The actual controller is a TMS470R1B1M
Have you asked TI?
On the TI website search for the ARM Automative MCU. You will get a long list of Reference Documents on individual modules within the TMS470Rx MCU such as TMS470R1x Memory Security Module (MSM) Reference Guide (spnu243.htm, 0 KB). This is just one module in the long list of modules. I never seen a single User's Guide for the TMS470Rx. And yes, TI's website is one of the worst in the chip vendors world. Bradford
Thanks Bradford. I was able to get some documents from there. @Andy i have requested TI of the documents and am yet to receive any response from them.

I was able to get few documents from TI site. And I got a mail from TIAsia... stating that they don't have the documents in their database!?!???!
And.... do you still want to use this device? May be you should take TI's advice serious, not recommended for (new) designs. The catch is, if you need 1MB Flash and some automotive/industrial features, this is the only chip on the market for you. If you don't need more than 512K, you REALLY want to think about alternatives to the TMS470.
