uVision 3.85 very unstable

Hello,

I have upgraded to MDK 3.70 and since then uVision crashes all the time - when debugging, when opening multiple instances. the top menu items refuse to open sometimes (followed by a crash). anybody else enjoys the benefits of this downgrade?!
I don't want to sound unkind, but I don't have TIME for this kind of problems!

How can we duplicate this issues. What is the exact error message that you are getting?

  • Hello Reinhard,

I have reported this issue to technical support. It is much more severe with uv4 - here is the description I have provided to technical support yesterday:

I wanted to report that uv4 seems to crash very often on an XP machine when switching to debug mode (on target). This happens often when the task bar indicates "Windows layout..." just prior to loading of the object code.

  • Hi all,

I am using MDK/RL 3.7 and UVision 4(beta 3.1) on a Windows XP platform on the whole i find it stable. I have had the occasional (infrequent) lock up mainly while activity is taking place over the USB to the Ulink.

The activity task bar bar does freeze now and again little worrying but generally wakes up once activity to Ulink has stopped, download/erase period.

The 'find in files' Uvision 4 seems to be temperamental, please can we have this sorted.

Not trying to contradict Tamir, just feedback from another user.

    regards
    Darren

  • I have the same issue. MDK 3.7 has kept on crashing, in debug mode and multiple instances. I am using LPC2468, or MCB2460 board.

The last one I used was MDK 3.53 and it has worked very well. I had to upgrade when I stated using the new micro controller.

Is it because I have two versions of the program installed, (3.53 and 3.70) in different folders? This should not be the case.
