Infineon Keil PK51 Licence

Hi All,

Infineon are promoting Keil C51 tools...

Can some advise what the license agreement is..

www.infineon.com/.../index.html

Part of the web site says
==========================
#No software limitations
#Free Keil Web Forum support
#License is valid 3 month after activation
===========

Does that mean no software limitations for 3 months ... what happens after the licence expires.... Is there still no software limitations?

I downloaded and installed these Keil tools... but there is no indication about "No software limitations" and "License is valid 3 month after
activation"

Does any one know.... the information in the Infineon web site is a little unclear....

Thanks in advance
Joe

  • ... and that has to be Infineon themselves, doesn't it?

    It's Infineon's deal, so they make the rules - so ask them.

    "what happens after the licence expires.... Is there still no software limitations?"

    With a real Keil licence, the tools continue to work but you can no longer install updates, you are no longer entitled to support, and you wouldn't be able to re-install the tools if you needed to.

    Take a look at this thread: http://www.keil.com/forum/docs/thread14415.asp it shows how important it is to ask the supplier directly if you have any doubts at all about the offer - it's no help guessing or surmising!
