hi everyone...am doing my project on microntrl based security system using gprs modem...tat s sensrs are conected to microncr and if any intrusion occurs,sms is sent2 user via gprs modem connected to micro....i finsd wid sensr and micro...could any1 help how to interface micro and modem from basic connections......
The datasheet and potentially any application notes for the modem will contain the information how to interface that specific modem with other hardware. We don't know what modem and what processor so we can't know the answer to any of the questions we don't know about.
By the way - are you going to use a '251 chip?

Note that even a still picture contains a very large amount of data, and moving pictures require similar amounts in each frame - an 8051 is not generally a good choice for processing large amounts of data...
