Forum general / lists per architecture

Hi all,

I think the mixture of posts of all architectures is not the best solution. I'd prefer separated lists. A "search entire forum" would still be needed, but I'd like to see only "my" stuff and not all the other MCU posts.

what are your opinions ?

  • You forgot
    * "I'm learning C programming in class, will you please do my homework, I will share answers with my class and look smart, in spite of not learning anything save how to get someone else to do my work!" - for aspiring 'questionable ethics' students
    * "I need to make a complete design and would like to try the 'net development' methodology I've heard about. Would you please give me my design, I need schematics, code and of course the PCB layout. NOW!" - no comment as to what this is

Now more serious suggestions, I suspect things are the way they are due to uncertainty of the forum. They may be deciding to leave it be or terminate it. Although forums CAN be a great tool for getting useful and necessary information those who abuse it turn it sour (or in more accurate words exacerbate the forums).

A link to FAQs at the post entry page as well as links that give FAQ references as well as something that asks "Are you positive that this question has not already been asked and answer a week ago? Did you try SEARCH?"

I would suggest partitioning by processor type (this would include all processor specific questions such as assembly and hard ware features), and general C/C++ related questions.

I've asked silly questions myself at times fortunately it's been rare.
