RTC implementation

I am not sure if anyone has seen the RTC examples for C164CI(nanomodul-164). My questions are as follows:

1. Does the RTC module take care of rollovers? For ex, incrementing the hour value when 'minutes' exceeds 60 or resetting the hour and minute value when a 'day' is over.
2. Does the RTC module work in 12H mode or 24 mode?
