The reason why you want an example of code that is valid in C but not valid in C++, is obviously that you have to do a bit of school work.

Hopefully, the teacher will verify that the students actually understood the solution they gave. Otherwise, the value of any kind of diploma from the school in question is doubtful.

One would, indeed, hope this was true; however, some schools/teachers are more intersted in high graduation rates than verifying the graduates even have an inkling.

Based on what has been seen in this forum, a large percentage of diplomas are misprinted, they should read "graduated in copying".

Not always ... I have a junior programmer assigned to me at the moment and he asks many odd questions; some of this type. Trouble is, he seems to cycle through the same ones every month or so.

And - No had absolutely nothing to do with his selection!
