Dear All,
I am sorry if this question is out of topic (of MCU), but I hope somebody could give some clue.
I have a system that comprise of a main board and a panel display. Both are connected through bus system using SN75176A driver IC (RS422/485).
I tried to replace the SN75176A with SN75176B. I expect that both IC are similar. But these arrangement is not working: SN75176B soldered on main board, SN75176A on panel.
The other arrangement is working: - SN75176B on main board, SN75176B on panel. - SN75176A on main board, SN75176B on panel.
What could I do to make the previous arrangement work? Thanks in advance.
Best regards
and the difference I see is that the B uses more power than the A
is your unit capable of supplying the extra power? RS485 is NOT a "power miser"
Erik
Yes. The unit is capable for more power to supply.
