hi.....what this function performs _CONFIG...... is this an intrinsic fuction in keil IDE
Thanks for providing so much context to your question.
You don't specify a processor, so we don't know what Keil tool. You don't specify where you have seen this name. You don't specify why you think that it may be an instrinsic.
Is it a preprocessor constant?
Is it something you have seen in the debugger?
mostly function starting with underscore_ are intrinsic.its used in a program which uses PIC microcontroller.its written as<prep>_CONFIG(0x2335);</prep> above the main() function.I have seen it on a program on internet. However no debugger have specified......
How easy do you think it was for people on a Keil forum to guess that you meant something you found in PIC source code compiled by a very much non-Keil compiler?
The _CONFIG() (whatever it internally is to the compiler) informs the linker about configuration fuses for the processor, i.e. if it should use a RC or a crystal oscillator, if the watchdog should be enabled or not, ...
But guess what: A Microchip compiler is probably best documented on a Microchip web page, and questions are probably best asked on a Microchip-oriented forum...
Now I'm about to call Volkswagen and ask them which break fluid I should buy to my Volvo.
